Only the strong survive.

IPAs were originally brewed to survive the epic sea voyages from England to India. Ours is no different. Hailing from a firm malt background and loaded through and through with hops, this beer will surely survive the journey from your fridge to your couch.

This is one of my favorite beers. Iíve never had it on tap, but I can get it at any distributor for a fairly reasonable price.

Tap at Dandelion, Philadelphia. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some fruits, some hops and some malts. Pretty weak IPA.

Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2010, Parsons Green, London in July 2010 - Cloudy Orangy Briown in colour. Very hoppy; resinous piney hops. Very Fruity; grapefruit and tropical fruit. Tasty. Tangy. Hoppy citrus fruity throughout. Very drinkable. (2010-07)

Bottle. Toasted aroma of hop, caramel, resin and malt. Lots of bitterness and toasted hop in the flavor. Malt backbone. Solid choice for a local IPA.

abcfan (920) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 4, 2016
Very well made. Pours yellow/orange with an off white head. Aroma is earthy hops with notes of caramel. Very smooth, with a sweet caramel finish.

Bottle from dberger624 ... Thanks Dan. Pours clear orange with a foamy white head... Piney hops and clean pale malt.. drinkability is through the roof... Very nice standard IPA.

Ernest (7660) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 7, 2016
Bottle (May 05, 2016 bottling). Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (herbs, lemon oil). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Despite being only 4 weeks old, itís surprisingly mild aromatically...soft herbal-lemony hops struggle to escape the glass and thereís really nothing else going on. Itís certainly not unpleasant, but it is kind of dull. Well balanced in the mouth, though, and clean, so itís easy to enjoy quaffing it. Nothing special, but a little better than average at least.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear orange gold with medium creamy off white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is tropical fruit and floral. Thin mouth, similar flavors to nose, light bitter resin finish, good.

teamrunkle (381) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAY 26, 2016
Light amber, golden brown. Piney hops. Little head. Malty. Not the brew I was hoping to enjoy.

Itís a nice style English Ale which is a tamed down version of the Jefferson Ale, after drinking both I much prefer an American IPA, but at the discounted price I got for a case Iíd do it again. My preference in this category is Evolution # 3, not quite as potent as this, but more to my liking. Itís a very nice beer but interpret for yourself which style you really go for.
