Draft at Craft. Pours dark brown with 1-finger creamy khaki head. Nose is dark fruit, cobwebby vinous esters, earthy brown sugar. Tastes great, with heavy figgy, old aley cobwebby and vinous fruits, molasses, brown sugar, merlot, and an earthy finish. egajdzis (6830) - Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2012
Translucent brown with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, some dark fruit, with light smoke, and alcohol as well. Taste was sticky sweet caramel, with light roast, a touch of peat, and a semi-sweet finish. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 17, 2012
Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, slight caramel, and some water. Poured deep orange/copper in color with a tiny, off-white head around the edges only. Hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of malt, slight Scotch, slight Earth, and a hint of peat. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, slight caramel, slight scotch, slight peat finish is lightly dry. 7.1%ABV is completely hidden throughout. jmm635 (1017) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Reddish-brown in color with an off-white head that fades to nothing rather quickly. Caramel malt aroma with just a touch of scotch apparent. Just right for my tastes. Capa (3628) - DC, Washington DC, USA - FEB 10, 2012
Draught at the brewery. Brown with a nice head. Aroma is malty, sweet, caramel, dark sugars. Full bodied. Flavor has a bunch of molasses, malts, toasted biscuit notes. Real good.
