3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle, not as hoppy as most apa styles today, but an good session brew. I remember drinking this on cask years ago, is it was excellent!!!
My close second favorite in my favorite US-style. Yards makes Philly proud. What I love about their line-up is it's no BS (bourbon cask faddy crap and such) and their beers are all about balance. I enjoy every beer in their line-up except Brawler. Their IPA is one of the few I can still stomach as a recovering IPA drinker. Pale Ale has become my favorite US style, and this is my close second fave with Sierra Nevada Pale Ale being my favorite I can actually get. (There was one from a small nano I had on tap a year ago that was amazing. I don't recall the name, I'm sure I'll never find it...) This beer? Vastly underrated. Beautifully balanced, high quaffability, nice citrus notes but not ruined by overhopping like so many others. Always tastes like another. Fatehunter (2654) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - AUG 27, 2017

12 ounce bottle. Bright, medium gold pour. Large frothy white head. Fruity malt nose. Some bready notes. Pleasant light citrus malt flavor. Hints of grassy hops and white bread. Very drinkable, though non distinctive. Tremendous lacing through to bottom of glass. bulldogops (2885) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 29, 2017
Rating #2515 - 2016.05.04 - Draught at the Hard Rock Cafe in Philadelphia. Clear golden amberpour with a decent white head. Aroma is fairly tame, some grass, pepper, and orange rind. Palate is similar - crisp, decent citrus notes, some peppery bitterness. Ho-hum Pale Ale. weordie (1481) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JUN 17, 2017
Pours clear golden with a thin white head. The aroma is really citrusy with mainly grapefruit. A nice citrus flavour with some nice malt flavours but just a hint of alcohol esters.

Bottle (Apr 25, 2017 bottling). Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit/lemon pith, resin), with a note of Captain Crunch cereal, hints of perfume and celery. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Kind of acrid and quite watery and thin in the mouth, so it’s not much fun to drink. The aroma is citrus-slanted but kind of artificial too, like a kid’s cereal. A bit vegetal too. I’ve had a couple decent 3.3-level brews from Yards, but sadly this isn’t one of them. NikkTwist (3503) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 7, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2017 Draft at The Irish Pol. Slightly hazy yellow gold with a large fluffy white top. Blonde cereal malts. Floral citrus hops. Soapy. Notes of orange, unripe banana, sugarcane, horsehair, straw. Balanced. Crisp when cold. Sven1973 (608) - GERMANY - MAY 6, 2017

UPDATED: APR 15, 2017 While there is nothing spectacular about this beer, it is a decent pale ale that is very drinkable. Malt and grain back bone with some hoppy notes of citrus and floral, bitterness is minimal. GenDV138 (8054) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - FEB 27, 2017
