Copper colored good head retention. Aromas of spice, molasses, and spruce. The flavor is unique. It combines the aromas plus a clear herbal quality. Itzjerm (3074) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - MAY 3, 2017
A nice spruce tip beer. Very nice head. Nice body. Taste has a light spruce herbal pop to it. Nothing bad in this Brew. It shows what other buttering agents can be used. Nice. Aroma light spruce also.

Pours a clear dark brown iced tea color with a thin off white ring. Not much of an aroma. Very thin and watery with just a hint of malt flavor. Not much taste at all. Very plain and ordinary. With a name like spruce I was expecting at least some pine resin? djd07 (15330) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 28, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong grass and floral. Medium mouth, rich malt, wheat, spruce, light bitterness, very good. mjmoen (581) - - MAY 27, 2016

Bottle. Dark brown-gold. Green and herbal, a little eucalyptus honey. Honey and forest and a little bit sweet and a little green. Medium body, molasses finish and quite fizzy. obxdude10 (2366) - Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2016
Very interesting beer on draft at the City Tavern in Philly. The beer poured an amber color with a dark orange hue and ample head. There was some nice lacing left inside the glass. The nose featured some toasted barley, spruce, molasses, yeast and spices. The body was very smooth and drinkable, with mostly sweet flavors of barley, molasses, yeast, butterscotch and flowery spices.
