2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Location/Date:Bottle on November 15th, 2012.
Appearance: Pours a clear brown.
Aroma: Aroma of toast malt, a lot of spruce.
Taste: Kind of leathery, lots of spruce, some sweet molasses.
Palate:Medium light body, no carbonation, light aftertaste(of spruce of course)
Summary: This is a solid made beer that is really different than most others, and it delivers on what it offers...but spruce isn’t something I really like in my beer. Maybe it’s just me.
Lots of nutty and chocolate flavor. Deep and rich but not much of an aroma. Not a bad cold weather beer.

Copper colored good head retention. Aromas of spice, molasses, and spruce. The flavor is unique. It combines the aromas plus a clear herbal quality. Itzjerm (3119) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - MAY 3, 2017
A nice spruce tip beer. Very nice head. Nice body. Taste has a light spruce herbal pop to it. Nothing bad in this Brew. It shows what other buttering agents can be used. Nice. Aroma light spruce also.

Pours a clear dark brown iced tea color with a thin off white ring. Not much of an aroma. Very thin and watery with just a hint of malt flavor. Not much taste at all. Very plain and ordinary. With a name like spruce I was expecting at least some pine resin? djd07 (15544) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 28, 2016
On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear amber with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is strong grass and floral. Medium mouth, rich malt, wheat, spruce, light bitterness, very good. mjmoen (595) - - MAY 27, 2016
