Dark amber color, tiny off-white head. malty aroma with light fruity notes. Light-bodied. Flavor has earthy notes, some citrus and then odd yeastyness which seemed to be like Yates house flavor. Without that ok but uninteresting.

Cask, The Criterion, Leicester. Amber brown with a white foam. Aromas are weetabix with twiggy notes and hints of cream. Earthy apple with nutty tea and yeast. Flavours are sweet weetabix with bitter lemon and paracetamol bitterness. Yeasty with a dry black tea finish. OK.

On tap at Bertie’s in Cowes. Unpleasantly bitter with watery moments and unbalanced body. Aromas of hops, some bread and leaves. Drinkable but nipot the best of that day.

On cask at Berties in Cowes. Pours out in an amber-golden colour with low head and flat body. Aroma of hops and citrus fruits. Taste of bitter hops, orange zest and peel, thyme and bread. Mild but bitter and crispy finish. Thin.

Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, grass, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, citrus - orange, grass, malty, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130813]

Cask at GBBF 2013. Clear chestnut brown, thin bubbly head. Nose is earthy ale fruity English hops, nutty, crystal malt caramel. Taste is all of the above. Pretty bog standard English brown bitter, but it’s nice and fresh.

From cask. Pours clear and golden yellow to orange with a small to fully gone white head. Aroma is mild fruity, toasted malty and light caramelish. Bitter, toasted malty and light bitter. Dry and roasted into a mellow malty finish.
