Grumbo (2951) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - JUL 30, 2013
Cask handpump at the King Lud, Ryde, IOW before getting Cat back to mainland. Light bronze colour, minimal head. Decent caramel malt aroma. Very flat carbonation - too flat, which spoilt enjoyment of this beer.

Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Amber with white head. Light beer with a caramel note, some bitterness comes through from a slight earthy hop note. Some sweetness in the close. Just a little dull.

[Cask at Seaview Hotel, Seaview, Isle of Wight] Amber, slight white head. Citrus at first, with wheat chaff hints. Quite sweet. Minerals come through in a lasting finish. Maybe a little watery, but generally OK.

johndoughty (5452) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 19, 2009
Bottle.claiming to be their flagship beer this was very disappointing. Muddy appearance and a lifeless body. Some bitterness but generally very bland. One to avoid.

DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2009
Cask, Charters, Peterborough. Headless dead Ribena half wafting faintly with nuts, choc and cask hints. Sesame-led bitter with woody tones, hazelnut, chocolate and caramel. Distant smoke leaning into watery mild territory. OK.

Cask at the Market Porter. Full malty body, cereals. Could have done with more hoppy bitterness to balance it. Drier finish, but not very impressive.

Cask handpull at The Rake. Good malt. Slightly sweet bitter. It’s fine, slightly earthy. Good malt though.
