Cask at GBBF 2006. Black with ruby hints, disappearing beige head. Farty aroma. Some prune. Some juicyness. Not that great.

Cask conditioned handpump GBBF. A black beer with a bit of a purple hue. The aroma has some sour berry fruit. The taste is fruity and autumnal. Berry flavours in a long finish. Tasty and old aleish

BCA (from Southwick Brewhouse, BBE Apr 06). The first thing I noticed was the delicious northdown hop nose, fresh fruity and inviting with peppery depth leading in perfectly to a more subtle roastiness with some chocolate and liquorice. The body is perhaps slightly less robust than I would prefer but eminently drinkable.

Also known as St Lawrence Ale: Dark brown/black with a sudsy tan head. Big choc and coffee aroma. Sweet roast coffee with nutty chocolate. Nice medium feel. Tasty
