COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Many Mexican beer styles today are descendants of old Austrian styles, from when Austria ruled Mexico in the late 19th century. Our Dos Perros is made with German Munich malt, English Pale malt, and Chocolate malt, and hopped with Perle and Saaz hops. To lighten the body, as many Mexican brewers do, we add a small portion of flaked maize. The result is a wonderfully bready malt aroma, balanced with some maize sweetness and a noble hop finish.

Super light body reminiscent of Mexicanstyle beer. What tastes alittle different here is creaminess and ending with slight chocolate flavors ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear brown with minimal off white head. Aroma is smooth rounded dark malt with discernible yeast esters. Highly drinkable but rich enough in sweet and smoky malt as well as some tangy fruit flavor and a nice doughy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Kroger, Cookeville, Tennessee. Clear mid-brown with a small head. Has a fairly regular lager-style nose, with a little more of the dark malt influence in taste.

From a bottle into a pint glass. Clear, dark brown body, small tan head. Nose is marzipan, roasted malts, caramel, hazelnut, reminds me of a dunkel. Light body, light sweetness, lightly dry, quick finish with some more nutty flavor in the finish.

Thanks Tim for the bottle. This was poured into a stange. The appearance was a semi-dark brown color with a fingers worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Some lace. The aroma had some sweet to semi-bitter grabbing malts playing with some chocolate, grass, dark bread, and corn. Light hop spice, somewhat piney. The flavor was moderately sweet with the breadiness coming in at first to overpower the rest of the aromas that come out in the taste. Aftertaste was semi-sweet with an embracing bitterness rolling about. Finish was moderately sticky. The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt as projected. Overall, altbier? Is that what the brewer said or just what we have listed on ratebeer? Hmmmm...in my opinion, I dont think its an altbier, but its decent for what it is as there arent any off flavors.

I have a lot of love for the Alt style, but Dos Perros left me a little underwhelmed. It has a copper color. There are some really nice malt notes. Bread, caramel, chocolate, and hint of smoke. At the finish, there’s a very mild hop bitterness. Mouthfeel wasn’t as hearty as I’d like - it’s on the thinner side of medium-bodied. A nice beer, but not what I expect from Yazoo.

JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - MAR 29, 2017
Umber orange color with a moderate sized, beige head. Light toasted malt and grain aromas, with hints of brown sugar. Just a hint of herbal hops in the background. Big malty start, with some toasted and lightly roasted malts. Not a much hop flavor, but a decent bitterness. Lightly earthy. Dry finish. 4/13

Some light malt and a little caramel. Pours dark brown with ok head and lacing. A little wood like modern construction. Tap at Nashville music place.

Draught @ Albion. Clear copper/amber with very small frothy whitish head that was gone instantly, very faint caramel aroma, medium carbonation, light caramel taste, thin watery body, abrupt finish. Not a great brew.
