Love Yazoo brand. Love Hefeweizen. But this Hefeweizen tastes like a rotten banana and not the sweet, delicious banana I am used to with a Hefeweizen.

Bottle. Pours a near clear yellow with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has a good amount of clove and sweet wheat with some banana coming through. Flavor is similar with a combination of sweet wheat, clove and banana.

Great pour to a big fluffy head with enough cloudiness to know the yeast is there and enough carbonation to say, "Hey, look at them there bubbles." Not a lot of tartness put enough to keep the banana-y sweetness in balance.

Nice nose with clove and banana coming on strong. Too light on the palate, watery and thin. Slight bubblegum notes. Kinda weak. Watery wheat rather than a robust weizen. Disappointing.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2017 From a bottle at a conference. And it is free. Best of the Yazoos I have had.

Aroma is sweet and tart with typical wheat character. Flavor is crisp and refreshing with moderate spiced wheat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from the tap into a pint glass at the Grainary in Mount Pleasant, SC. The appearance is a lightly murky gold color with a small white head. The aroma is banana and some wheat. The taste is wheat and cloves with some banana in the background.

Draft. Pours cloudy orange. Has a great palate. The taste is banana and strawberry. Decent

3.2
oobawa (1736) - Tennessee, USA - APR 28, 2017
A bit thin and mild for a hefe, not reaching much banana-clove depth, instead coming off bready as all hell. Mild grassy sweetness against a yeast backbone, not aggressive but firm, with a slight floral hop finish. Good nose, good looks, but the feel’s slack, too slick for a sparkly hefeweizen. Not their best beer, not their worst. Eh.

JPDIPSO (6286) - Wauwatosa, USA - MAR 29, 2017
Straw color with a medium sized white head. Yeasty scents, with bananas, cloves, bread and rubber. Some pale malt and wheat sweetness. Creamy feel. Some bubblegum and wood sap flavors. 4/13

Draft. Strong banana aroma with hints of bubble gum. Very cloudy pale orange. Medium mouthfeel with creamy and grainy wheat. Solid.
