A: The pour is a slightly hazy amber color with a thin off-white head and some nice rings of lacing.
S: The nose is plenty hoppy with some good citrus notes and some bready malt. There isn’t too much in terms of pine.
T: While the pine was missing from the nose, it’s certainly present on the tongue. The flavor is bitter and piney through and through with some nice citrus and perhaps even tropical fruits.
M: The body is medium with a tingly carbonation.
D: A nice IPA from a brewery that I’m pleased to try some beers from. Not quite as good as the west coast IPAs we’ve been spoiled with. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - APR 21, 2010

Bottle thanks to travita. Pours with a small, off-white head over a hazy golden body. Aroma is fruity, hops, suntan lotion and chamomile. Bitter, fruity and dry flavors. Hop profile is surprisingly sedated. Lightish carbonation. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - MAR 19, 2010
Thanks to travita for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a cloudy orange-yellow color with a white head. The aroma is piney with some citrus hops. The flavor is very bitter pine hops. Definitely a hop forward American IPA. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours clear dark copper under a short-lived white head.
The aroma is light citrus and pine.
The flavor is lightly bitter and smooth. Light bodied and easy drinker.
Pleasant, if not over the top. NachlamSie (3485) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 18, 2010
12 oz. bottled during the 2nd week of February. Purchased from Midtown. Pours a bright orange into the tulip glass with a frothy white head and clingy lacing. The aroma is classic American IPA, though not as rich or dank as I usually get from the Hop Project series. The beer is only 3 or 4 weeks old, surely this hasn’t deteriorated that much. I’ve had other Hop Projects at the same age that still retained powerful hop strength. I hate to be hard on this because it’s still a great IPA, but Yazoo usually produces world class examples of the style. The aroma is of more citrus and melon with less pine than usual. A strong bitterness is in the flavor which excites me. This is still a solid India Pale, especially at this price. Plenty of grapefruit and pine are here with a smooth, light malty body. Enjoyable.
