Yazoo hop project. 34 methinks labeled august/4... Pours a hazy
cinammon reddish brown pour with a thin white head... Bready malts and
softer tea and herbal notes. Hops have really faded in the nose
unfortunately.. Much the same with the flavor with the hops shining a
fair bit more than the aroma. More tea-like and herbal. Carbonation
and body are ok 6/4/7/4/14
12oz bottle purchased from Riverside Beverage in Chattanooga $2. This was bottled the third week of August so it was about a month old. Dark amber color and a smell that to me was quite unremarkable. The taste however really stumped me. It was good and quite hoppy but the flavor was a strange herb that I could not place. I am sure it was the sorachi ace hops and I’m not sure I’ve tasted those before. It was really mind-bogglign as to what I was tasting. I drank it fast so I must have liked it!

Pours grapefruit coloured, mildly cloudy. Generous retained head, 3/8" head. Mildly hoppy aroma. High IBU, feels 75, and erases some palate. Big alpha from Warrior and then Sorachi, which also lends a taste of lemon. Good, though a tad of sourness in the finish. A tad above average mouthfeel. Good hop mix in this one.

Bottle courtesy of butters on 01/15/2011 at the 13th Richmond Gathering. Clear golden amber body with a small frothy white head. Sweet sorachi ace aroma with some caramel. Dry sorachi ace flavor, some citrus notes and a caramel background. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Taste thanks to Richmond crew! Hazy candy orange, thin white ring for a head. Sawdusty, earthy nose, light peanut spice with faint citrus. Flavor has more of the dust, light grapefruit snd earth, bit of orange and also more biting bitterness in finish. Bottle at 13th Richmond Gathering, courtesy of Butters. Pours clear orange with an average, frothy beige head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toasted), heavy hops (floral, citrus, spicy), and light esters (apple/pear) with notes of lime and cumin. Flavor is heavy malt (cookie, caramel, toasted), heavy hops (herbal, citrus, spicy), and average esters (apple/pear) with notes of lime and cumin. Bottle:   Dirty caramel, hazy, large dishwater like head, tannish, clumpy lacing, fairly strong carbonation.   Somewhat of a musty wet hop nose, slight dank basement, touch of wet cardboard (minor).   Hop tea up front, suprisingly flat tho.   Goes over quickly, hops up front leaving a musty/dusty basement like backside. &bnsp Again, minor wet carboard on the exit.   Not enough body on this one, dispite the carbonation I saw.   Tiz smooth, flavorful, just a little more dank than I would like.   Could use a little more bubbley mouthfeel.   Yeah, hop tea would be a good way to describe this, with a touch of dank basement and minor cardboard.   Not bad tho.   Thanks Jimmy for the freebie! Richmond 13th. Medium amber, decent head. Aroma both grassy, herbal, and a touch of medicinal green hop. Flavor was faint caramel with a bitter hop finish, quite green in character and floral. Not lemon like other Soriachi samples I’ve had. Not bad, but not my thing.
