The hops seem very fresh. This one has a very lively flavor that combines bitter hops in a fairly light tasting IPA. The head is off white and the beer is a little cloudy, almost creamy in appearance.

12oz bottle, bottled the first week of November.
Pours a hazy golden orange with a small soapy head that shows excellent retention as it’s fed by a steady stream of bubbles from the bottom.
Aroma has juicy oranges and pineapples paired with a healthy caramel sweetness. There is also some herbal spiciness in the nose. Nice mixture of hops.
The taste is less citrusy and amps up the herbal and floral hops. It’s really bitter in the finish with the citra coming out more with an almost vinous, oaky character.
Moutheel is creamy but prickly with hops. Medium bodied with strong carbonation.
This is my first Hop Project from Yazoo and it’s a solid beer. I really like the concept and wish I was able to try more of them. Suttree (6484) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 14, 2010
Reddish brown - how is it that the HP’s are different colors? Do hop varieties add color, or is it just age? 40 was more orangey, this is redder. Anyhoo, the initial flavor and aroma were earthy, which i pretty typical for the Hop Project beer. This one seemed to have woody, even slightly oaky note the others don’t. This one also seemed a little crisper. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 13, 2010
Red-brown, beige cover. Aroma is citrusy, grapefruit, sweet caramel. Not as upfront as the 38 but still nice. Taste is more grapefruit, a bit dry, fruity caramel. Dry, bitter finish.

Sampled at the Bearden Beer Market release party. Best one of the night. Lighter hued than the others. With a sweeter hop profile, but lots of spicy hop on the tail. Very nicely done.
