3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not my favorite hop project, but this one is ok. Everything about it is average. It is a little malty and has a dark amber color. Limited lacing and an oily mouthfeel.
12 ounce bottle. Pours a medium copper color with a medium white head. The aroma is sweet oranges, some dust and caramel. The flavor is a nice easygoing but robust IPA; sweet citra flavors, the citra hop seems to somehow dominate beers it is in with a mellow citrus flavor, some dry dusty caramel malt, very light bitterness and some butterscotch. Enjoyable for sure. jcwattsrugger (12518) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUL 9, 2011

Bottle at RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours orange with an off white head. Resinous piney aroma with some citric notes. The flavor has citric and floral hops, light pine, and some light sweet malts. Solid.

Orange amber pour with light white head and lace. Sweet caramel, resiny malt aroma. Flavor mirrors aroma but with a bready dry finish followed by a decent resiny bitter. Nice beer Tmoney99 (14859) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 24, 2011
Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate to heavy resin hop and citrus aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. This beer exceeded my expectations.

Draft and 12 oz bottle from BBM. Clear copper with a nice frosting of sticky lace. Nose of tea leaf, dirty orange, mango, caramel and pine resin. Flavor is earthy pineapple, pine resin, banana, mango. Big bitter finish of pith and peppery oak turns into a bit too much hop. Almost-medium body is smoothly carbonated, soft, dry and not as tingly as you would expect from all the hop bitterness. tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - MAY 4, 2011
Pours the same copper color with offwhite head as the other hop projects. The aroma is fresh, fruity hops. Orange, tangerine, slight grapefruit, maybe even some green mango; there is a slight maple syrup sweetness behind all that. The flavor is nice and bitter, more piney than the nose. The harsh edge of Chinook is noticeable. It finishes with a slightly fruitier tone, along with some crystal malt sweetness. Not bad.
