Bottle thanks to Jcwattsrugger at Jimmack’s Invitational. Pours clear amber with white head. Nose of malt, hops and caramel. Taste has a pine character to it with the usual hops balance. Nice bitterness. BeerandBlues2 (13814) - Escondido, California, USA - JUL 27, 2009
Bottle. Pours clear amber with an average, frothy, white head, somewhat diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (cookie, meal, caramel), heavy hop (flowers, citrus, pine), average yeast (dough) with notes of pear and green apple. Medium bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 29, 2009
12 oz bottle-pours a retaining off white head that laces and copper color. Aroma is citrus/pine hops, some medium malt. Taste is dry citrus/pine hops with some bite, some medium malt. Thanks stevo for sharing. Strykzone (7659) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAY 18, 2009
Amber gold with a nice light tan head. Big tart citrus aroma. Flavor to match. So well hopped! Caramel doesn’t come close to balancing the hops. Very nice! Bitter tart aftertaste. A big and bold beer. Well done. vyvvy (6731) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 25, 2009
Sampled at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition festival. Pours golden / amber with a small off-white head. The aroma has grapefruit / tropical fruits, light onion and sweet caramel malt to balance. Medium prickly body with micro carbonation. The flavor starts drier than the aroma with rind of grapfruit, woody hops and solid malt. Well balanced tasty IPA.

Clear golden copper, nice fluffy head. Nice aroma - grapefruit like #12, but more spicy, too. Flavor is mostly grapefrui and pine, with dry, crisp finish. decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - NOV 30, 2009
Copper pour with off white head and lace. Evergreen, bread, and apple on the nose. Semi sweet malt with excellent resiny bitter. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Very nice beer. Cybercat (6145) - Georgia, USA - JUL 26, 2011
Pours a clear coppery brown with a respectable buff-colored head. Aroma is hoppy and grassy with a strong fruity overtone that is as much apple/pear as citrus. Hoppy flavor is quite bitter but not fiercely so, with hints of grass and fruit. Texture is smooth and minimally fizzy. An interesting IPA, not my favorite but still worthy. nearbeer (5604) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 29, 2011
12 oz. Clear darkish orange amber with a lasting quarter inch of creamy foam. Lush nose of tropical fruit blend, caramel and resiny wood. Tastes of caramel, resin, orange fruit, and flowers, Dry finish is toasted nut shells and earthy oak. Medium body is softly carbonated, almost velvety, and well-dried on the finish.
