Tasted on 9/22/11 on draft at the brewery. Pours a clear red amber with an average, but very thick and creamy beige head that slowly recedes to rocky lace. The nose is dark bread malt along with intense hops that range from spicy and herbal to aromatic floral citrus. The flavor is a very nicely balanced combination of the darker bread malt and the same spicy, herbal, and citrus (lemon and grapefruit) hops with a nice bit of bitterness. The body is medium and somewhat sticky with average carbonation and a long spicy, herbal, citrus, and lightly bitter hops finish. SpringsLicker (3685) - Tennessee, USA - MAR 1, 2013
Clear dark orange with a n off-white head.
Subtle hop aroma.
The flavor goes to the bitter side with a dry finish. Block (3222) - Indianapolis, Indiana, USA - APR 30, 2012
My best guess at which project I had. A nice IPA, hoppy at the nose and throughout. Some floral notes in the aroma, citrus, and lemon. Not much spice. Balanced body. Beerona97 (2399) - Washington, USA - NOV 22, 2011
Well, I just bought this, I guess I’m a couple months late for peak freshness. It pours clear amber with a thin beige head. Aroma of lemon and floral hops, toffee. Taste is malt forward, doesn’t have any off flavors but I am guessing it was a little more pungent a while ago. This doesn’t seem like it was ever very bitter, more floral.

Deep amber pour with a light frothy off white head and lace. Nose dominated by perfumy hops and peppery aroma. Sweet caramel malt, a hinto orange, a big bizzro bitter that I can’t explain. Medium body abit fizzy. Good but unusual. nearbeer (5665) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 28, 2011
12 oz; date stamp is "58.SEP 15.11". Deep copper with a lasting quarter inch of meringue. Nose is caramel malt and earth-spicy, vegetal tones. Flavor is not-too-sweet hard lemon candy, with some bitter root and soured, earthy leaf. Finish is wooden: bittersweet toasted pecan with the pith. Light-medium body is softly carbonated and well-balanced. Decent, but seems to be searching for some definition.
