Draft served in a pint glass at the Flying Saucer in Memphis. Pours a clear amber with a tiny eggshell white head. Aroma of citrusy hops, caramel malts, tobacco and tea leaves, and a woodsy earthiness. Flavor of caramel malts, grapefruit, tea, orange peel, pineapple, and pine resin. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, citrusy mouthfeel. Another solid Hop Project. IndyBeerSnob (132) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 22, 2012
Bottle. poured to pint. Purchased at Frugal Mcdougals Nashville. Pours a classic ipa appearance. Wonderful pine notes upon first few drinks. First hop project ever so I can’t compare precious batches. Quite an initial hop blast to the mouth almost more so than other ipas that I love. This beer is for true ipa drinkers and one of yazoos better beers!! illinismitty (2377) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 13, 2012
Bottle from Kroger. I have gone through about 4 of these. Pours a deep copper amber with an ivory head. Fruity ester and floral hop aroma. Medium bodied with average carbonation. The malt backbone is just like previous versions - caramel, toasty, with some german esque qualities. Spicy and grapfruity bitterness that carries through to the finish. Somewhat Sierra Nevadaish, but still has some of that green flavor that I don’t care for - but it seems to be getting less pronounced in recent versions. But I am just being picky -it’s still a good IPA. Otherwise I wouldn’t continue to buy it. Suttree (6608) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 1, 2012
For a while, I had pretty much given up on the Hop Project series, but these last 3 or 4 that I’ve had have been really tasty. This one is very spicy, very west-coast hoppy. I could actually drink a sixer of this and be happy. pint16 (4) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 26, 2011 does not count
This is a supremely well done Ipa. Have always loved what Yazoo has done, but they really have outdone themselves with this masterpiece. Hopped balanced reminiscent of Alpine’s Pure Hoppiness. Nuff said.

12 oz. Deep copper with a lasting head of meringue. Orange toffee aroma also has notes of ozone, grapefruit, tea leaf, and pepper. Taste is earthy tea leaf, orange caramel, wood, peppery spice, grapefruit, pineapple, and hints of mint and celery. Medium body is smoothly carbonated and dry.
