COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the one I personally have been really anticipating. Last year I managed to get my hands on just a little bit of Australian Galaxy hops, which we used as just a finishing hop in one of the Hop Projects. But we couldn’t make very much of it, and I went back to trying to source a larger amount. Well, we got lucky and found enough this year to do a nice long run of Hop Project #63, featuring this great hop from down under, in both a flavor and aroma hop role. It’s got a wonderfully ripe fruity nose, with a long, lingering, and clean bitterness.

Boutip (6380) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral and citrus notes with some subtle fruity ester is quite interesting. Taste is a mix between some lightly sweet caramel malt notes with some floral and light citrus hoppy notes mix in with some fruity ester. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol Very interesting and tasty and makes me want to try more beers with Galaxy hops.

Bottle thanks to illismitty. Huge citrusy flavors. Flavor starts bitter and ends malty sweet with is very impressive. Great job Tennessee.

nearbeer (5424) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 7, 2012
12 oz. Smudged date stamp; looks like it was bottled on Jan 34, 12. Clear deep copper with a red tint and a small island of bubbles above. Aroma is earthy citronella, caramel, soggy wood and leaf. Taste is bitter pithy wood, resin, menthol, dirty-sourish orange and a touch of molasses. Light-medium body is long with the wooden dryness, and a little too fizzy at times.

SpringsLicker (3641) - Tennessee, USA - MAY 30, 2012
Bottled April 03/12 Hazy amber/gold color with an off-white head. The hop aromas are musky, earthy with pine resin and citrus. Bitter flavor, but not without good malt support. Not bad.

unclemike (3124) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Pours a hazy slightly orange auburn. Very nice, dense offwhite head with real staying power. Aroma is very carmelish and lots of piney hops. Sweet malt flavors, but subdued. Quite strong bittering with grapefruit pith notes. Full heavy mouth feel and long, bitter aftertaste

pushkinwow (2793) - Ottawa, CANADA - AUG 1, 2012
12oz bottle from locals round 1. Nice clear amber with a light off white and creamy head. Resin forward hops, lots of semi sweet malt, light citrus. Moderate to low carbonation, moderate body, lots of malt, becomes a little dry but lacking complexity and depth. Still worth trying.

3.2
jcr (2705) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUN 21, 2012
Draft. Light amber body with an off-white, thin head, rapidly diminishing. Floral aroma with notes of citrus, toasted grain, raw, leafy hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Sweet, caramel base and floral hops dominate, but there’s enough graininess and leafy hop flavors to tread on the crispness. Unclean.
