3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Kroger. Pours medium orange amber with an off white head. Fruity aroma. Typical Hop Project pale malt backbone, but this comes across much drier than previous versions.
Tasted on 1/26/12 on draft at the brewpub. Pours clear orange amber with an average off-white head that leaves thin lace, leaving thick residue along the inside of the glass. The nose is floral, grassy, and grapefruit pith hops, with a caramel bready malt profile. The flavor is malty up front, moving to the intensely bitter grapefruit, orange, and lemon rind, with resin, grass, and a bitter dandelion floral note. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long bitter citrus rind and resin and dandelion finish.

Ratings from old phone notes while camping. Pours a clear amber/copper with a smaller head. Aroma is fruity citrus and earthy hops with some malt backing. Taste is bitter lemony and orange hops, touch of caramel, resin. Lighter bodied IPA . Not too shabby. pushkinwow (2789) - Ottawa, CANADA - AUG 1, 2012
12oz bottle from locals round 1. Nice clear amber with a light off white and creamy head. Resin forward hops, lots of semi sweet malt, light citrus. Moderate to low carbonation, moderate body, lots of malt, becomes a little dry but lacking complexity and depth. Still worth trying. jcr (2705) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUN 21, 2012
Draft. Light amber body with an off-white, thin head, rapidly diminishing. Floral aroma with notes of citrus, toasted grain, raw, leafy hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Sweet, caramel base and floral hops dominate, but there’s enough graininess and leafy hop flavors to tread on the crispness. Unclean. SpringsLicker (3637) - Tennessee, USA - MAY 30, 2012
Bottled April 03/12
Hazy amber/gold color with an off-white head.
The hop aromas are musky, earthy with pine resin and citrus.
Bitter flavor, but not without good malt support.

Pours a hazy slightly orange auburn. Very nice, dense offwhite head with real staying power. Aroma is very carmelish and lots of piney hops. Sweet malt flavors, but subdued. Quite strong bittering with grapefruit pith notes. Full heavy mouth feel and long, bitter aftertaste Boutip (6374) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of floral and citrus notes with some subtle fruity ester is quite interesting. Taste is a mix between some lightly sweet caramel malt notes with some floral and light citrus hoppy notes mix in with some fruity ester. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol Very interesting and tasty and makes me want to try more beers with Galaxy hops. Bottle date Jan23. Poured orange with an off-white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit. The flavor found pine, grapefruit, and a backing of toasted malts and caramel. Medium body and a big hoppy aftertaste. PhilDBrewer (50) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - APR 3, 2012
Pours a copper color with minimal off-white head. Aroma is heavy pine with hints of grapefruit. Tastes of pine and grapefruit. This is my first known experience with galaxy hops and I like it pretty well. Mouthfeel is slightly thin for the style. Good carbonation. Overall, solid IPA that I would gladly drink again.
