Sampled on tap at Nashville Flying Saucer. Pours a clear pale amber gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has an earthy must pine note with a hint of musty grain and grapefruit. Flavor has more grapefruit coming through with a hint wet pine and backing earthy grain. Bottled. Poured clear, medium golden with a creamy beige head. The aroma picked up juicy pine resin and darker citrus notes over biscuity malt.. deeper, almost honeyed malts rose as it warmed up. The flavor found caramel, honey, and biscuity malts at the core with spicy pine and citrus bitterness around.. finished bitter, but with less definable character to it. Medium-bodied and kind of sharp on the palate.. higher carbonation.. just and OK flow. Decent. Suttree (6466) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Pretty typical for Hop Projects as far as appearance and aroma. This one does have a more pronounced hop flavor, crisp and a bit citrusy, with some resin, as well. Nice black pepper flavor as it warms. nearbeer (5523) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 7, 2012

Thanks to jcwattsrugger for the bottle. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is some caramel, some piney tropical fruit, and some big white grapefruit. Flavor is similar- starts with light malt, continues to piney, white grapefruity tropical fruit. Interesting beer overall. Medium in body with lingering hops in the finish. Best Hop Project beer I have tried to date. edgallow (4312) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - SEP 8, 2012

On tap at Keg and Barrel. Pours a hazy orange brown with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus, lemon, grassy hops. Flavor of grassy hops and lots of malt up front, some hop spices and bitterness in the finish. Palate is a bit astringent and harsh. This was a bit rough to drink.

Pours clear gold with a tall sticky white head.
Pine and citrus hop aroma.
Good balanced flavor, bitter with a discernible malt support delivered clean and smooth with a nice bitter finish.

An amber color with a white head. Aroma contains a bit of caramel and also some oranges and pine. The flavor is bitter but well balanced with some caramel, orange peels, and grapefruit. The finish is a good balance of malt and hops. Overall I dig this one alot. This tastes even better now that Oakland is in the playoffs!
