On tap at Keg and Barrel. Pours a hazy orange brown with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus, lemon, grassy hops. Flavor of grassy hops and lots of malt up front, some hop spices and bitterness in the finish. Palate is a bit astringent and harsh. This was a bit rough to drink.
Tasted on 7/13/12 on draft at the brewpub. Pours clear orange-amber with an average white head that slowly recedes, leaving messy lace. The nose is super hoppy with tons of bitter grapefruit peel, a hint of pitted fruit, and the same bready caramel malt that comes with most of these Hop Projects. The flavor is dominated by the intensely, but pleasantly bitter grapefruit peel, pitted fruit blossom, and bready caramel. Pours light golden copper. Malty sweet, tropical and pine aroma. Flavor is sweet malt and mostly piney hops. Everything is decent until the aftertaste, which is medicinal and resembles stomach acid after vomit. I hate to say anything negative about beer. Maybe a dirty tap line? I don’t know. Poured on draft at Yazoo Brewery into a pint glass.
A: Strong, dank hop aroma, slightly spicy with a fruit undertone.
A: Semi hazy dark copper with frothy head. and excellent lacing.
T: Initially tropical fruits with a strong caramel malt backbone. Super sticky and moderately bitter at the finish.
P: Medium body moderate carbonation.
O: A much more malty beer than #50 and much maltier than any other IPA/DIPA I’ve ever had.
12oz bottle-pours big tight lt tan head with trailing lace-amber. A-resin/tropical/herbal, lt/med malt-caramel. T-herbal/resin hops, roasty med malt.

Thanks to jcwattsrugger for the bottle. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is some caramel, some piney tropical fruit, and some big white grapefruit. Flavor is similar- starts with light malt, continues to piney, white grapefruity tropical fruit. Interesting beer overall. Medium in body with lingering hops in the finish. An amber color with a white head. Aroma contains a bit of caramel and also some oranges and pine. The flavor is bitter but well balanced with some caramel, orange peels, and grapefruit. Got this bottle from a friend. Pours a nice golden amber color with a nice white pillow of head not lacking retention. The aroma of these hops are atypical to "pacific northwest" aroma that most IPA drinkers will recognize; although, I’m sure they were grown in the region. It has a very deep floral, spicy aroma with hints of citrus which, collectively, really bring out the aroma of the malts. The body is equally as deep as the smell. It has a slight sweetness from the crystal malts balanced with the toasty, grainy flavors from the Munich and pale base malts. It is bitter and balanced with bursts of piney, woodsy hops which, coupled with the aroma, give it a complex hop balance. The palate doesn’t linger quite as long as I wish. Overall it’s a nice IPA
