Clear, amber pour with a small, white head. The aroma has bread, caramel, and light spicy hops. It has a medium body with smooth texture and lively carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with a little bit of tartness. alogan97 (71) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - OCT 23, 2012

12 oz. bottle from grownfool- thanks again, Brian! Pours a clear orange-amber color with a huge, rocky, foamy off-white head that leaves some spots of lacing. Aroma of caramel, Munich, and toasted malts, rye, orange peel, and grass. Flavor of the same variety of malts, toasted sugar, rye, and a mineral note that washes it out on the end. However, another toasty malt note shows up in the aftertaste for a nice lingering finish. Decent marzen. SpringsLicker (3685) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 1, 2011
Clear deep copper colored body that sits beneath a tall, mostly white head.
Big candy malt aroma. Nutty.
Light malt sweetness in the flavor with little or no hop flavor or aroma.
A bit thin.

Cloudy brown copper in color. Weak malty aroma. Some smoke is detectable. Slight toasty malt flavor with a medicinal hops aftertaste... like aspirin. Overall, it’s OK. Some complexity but it’s a bit watered down. Not sure I dig the medicinal aftertaste but at least it’s drinkable.

Pint at the brewery. Hazy gold, thin beige head. Aroma of biscuit and caramel. Taste is also sweet with a doughy characteristic. Medium body, smooth texture. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - NOV 28, 2010
Thanks to jcwattsrugger for the share. Pours opaque caramel brown with a white head. Nose is biscuit, malt, caramel, and a mild toffee-like sweetness. Flavor is similar with vague sweetness finishing with mild bitterness. Enjoyable, sessionable beer. Ibrew2or3 (8913) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - NOV 27, 2010
Growler pour courtesy of jcwattsrugger. It pours amber with off white head. The aroma is mildly spicy and earthy with crystal malts in the background. The taste is pretty crisp and fresh and offering up modest notes of spicy hops, earthy hops and a sense of floral hops as well as some sweet malts and sweet crystal like malts. Bottle pours a lasting ring of beige head with a copper body. Aromas of caramel, malt, and some tangy hops. Flavor is the same. Finish is zesty and rather clean.
