Poured from a bottle. Dark walnut with thick tan head. Aroma is subtle with mellow roast. Taste is espresso with roasted malt. Medium body with soft carbonation. This beer is very smooth, perhaps even sessionable. Enjoyable and easy beer to drink. papercartel (14) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2013
Nice floral hop aroma. Apperance is copper color. Good initial taste and continues through. Had at the Yazoo brewery, can’t remember the batch number. My favorite of all their beers that you can normally find in TN nearbeer (5608) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 30, 2013
12 oz, bottled 02-21-2013. Opaque with a quarter inch topping of creamy bubbles. Nose of espresso, graham cracker, caramel and ash. Taste is espresso, hickory smoke, marshmallow, tart berries and cream. Finishes with ash and piquant green herb. Near-medium body has light-medium carbonation and is balanced with a dry roasty finish. Great session stout in the traditional style.

Draft. Served in a Shaker pint glass. Pours black with no head. (Lack of foam could be the server’s fault, not the beer itself.) Medium-low carbonation. Coffee and roasted malt aromas. Palate is a bit thinner than I expected; more like an Irish Dry than an American Stout. Predominate flavor of coffee. Bitterness is low; just enough hops for complexity. A smooth, easy-drinking stout. I’d have this again. bigwesticle (37) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 16, 2012
Real nice roasty coffee flavors, same on the nose. Nice frothy tan head. Only complaint is not a big enough body. edgallow (4478) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 19, 2012
Draft pours black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Taste is the same with a dry finish. DrinkEmUpJones (1069) - Georgia, USA - APR 7, 2012
Pours opaque blacl, brown lacing. Nose is full of rich cocoa amd coffee bean. Palate is rich hot chocolate and cafe au lait. Great balance, rich flavor but not too filling or too sweet. Awesome with a pork sandwich. IndyBeerSnob (132) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 9, 2012
Tap at Yazoo brewery poured from Growler. Pours a gorgeous tan head with brown/tan lace all over the glass. Immediate Smokey coffee flavor is really nice. Coffee flavor is not too strong and the finish is a creamy malt texture. A real treat! Yazoo scored on this batch!
