Cloudy light yellow. Corriander on the nose. Mild and slightly sweet with a tart finish. Shag (3001) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - MAY 8, 2011
A copper color with white head. The aroma is nice with some apricot, brown sugar, citrus, and rye. Flavor is somewhat bitter with caramel, brown sugar, citrus, and rye. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall I dig it Chickencoop (188) - California, USA - JUL 31, 2011
Big amber pour, lightly chunky head. Big yeasty nose, spicy. Big mouthfeel, and big citrus. Didn;t get much of the rye, but still a solid beer. I would love to get one of these again. MrBunn (2826) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 3, 2011
Bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with little head and aromas of orange, lemon, honey, pear and grass. Fairly nice light, fruity and sweet aromas. Flavor is very similar, but it seems like the booze is sticking out, but other than that, I really like this saison. Finhead (1763) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - JUL 5, 2011
A cloudy yellow-orange pour with a white head. The aroma is fruity yet a little spicy with notes of orange juice. The medium body has a slightly oily texture with lively carbonation. The taste is sweet, but also a little earthy.

Cloudy yellow orange. Medium nose is orange and tangerine, with a light hint of rye. Palate is more hefe than rye, but there is definitely a rye presence which adds a nice bite into an otherwise creamy palate. Very good nearbeer (5424) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 9, 2013
12 oz. Translucent orange-pear colored body has lots of bubble activity that supports an enduring half-inch of sticky-creamy Belgian style foam. Great aroma still comes through the big foam and consists of earthy white grape must, pear, orange-lemon zest, spicy banana bread, and toast. Taste is the same plus some peppery rye, a bit of oxidized grape skins, and wheat. The light-medium body is well balanced but has just a bit too much carbonation for me. UPDATED: AUG 10, 2014 Re-rating after 3 years. Enjoying the saison style better now, and the rye and spices added to this one is really nice. jzzbassman (1634) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JUL 29, 2011
Pours a hazy orange with a nice firm white head. Rye prominent in the aroma, along with a tripel like yeastiness. Rye definitely adds pepper to the malt backbone, a little sweet with honey and pear. nqualls (1452) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 3, 2009
12 oz bottle from Frugal MacDoogal’s. Poured a slightly hazy gold color with a three finger white head that disappeared quickly. Aroma was similar to what I expected from a saison with a fruity/funky note, with spices (cloves) present too. Flavor was spicy and interesting. The rye added a peppery taste. Fruit was also present on the tongue. I was impressed with this brew. Linus and the gang keep churning out the good, inventive and different brews.
