Bottle. Pours a nice bright golden orange with a creamy white head that stays. Aroma is nice with the saison yeast really coming out, spicy and floral with some of the rye there, a bit citric. Flavor isn’t quite as nice, some cidery like characters that are a bit overbearing to the delicate peppery notes. Still refreshing though. Medium body and a sharp carbonation.

Poured on draft at Yazoo Brewery into a pint glass.
A: Big, spicy Belgian yest notes, some bready notes as well
A: Very hazy, bright orange with a one-finger head that dissipates into a cap and decent lacing.
T: Dominated by Belgian yeast characteristics. Banana and clove notes with black pepper and candi sugars. Rye taste shows up in the finish.
P: On the light side of medium bodied, highly carbonated.

12oz bottle, shared by beerpig317. Hazy golden orange color. Thin white head. Few loose bits of lace. Good spicy orange citrus aroma, nice yeast character. Medium body. Smooth, sort of soft/crisp lighter carbonation, with a more dry finish. Nice moderate bitter taste, light zest, some light sweetness in the finish. 12 oz. Translucent orange-pear colored body has lots of bubble activity that supports an enduring half-inch of sticky-creamy Belgian style foam. Great aroma still comes through the big foam and consists of earthy white grape must, pear, orange-lemon zest, spicy banana bread, and toast. Taste is the same plus some peppery rye, a bit of oxidized grape skins, and wheat. The light-medium body is well balanced but has just a bit too much carbonation for me. Poured a hazy copper-orange color with a thin white head, very light lacing. Aroma of flowers and citrus. Medium body with a fruity, citrus flavor. A very light bitter finish.

Shared 12 oz. bottle poured to snifters showing a hazed, orangy hue, with a modest layer of soft white head foam that reduced expeditiously to a thin ring & film, and left some spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma was light Belgian yeast, light esters, some citrus, and a touch of spice. The flavor was similar, adding low hop bitterness, and light acidity/tartness. Soft carbonation added to the perception of a light body, with near watery texture. Subtly dry finishing, with pleasant but subdued taste. Tasted on draft at the 12 South Winter Warmer in 2011. Pours clear dark golden with a thick white head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is spicy rye and spicy Saison yeast, with some caramel malt as well. The flavor is a pretty classic spicy rye Saison, although a bit on the sweet side. Aroma is light with mostly belgian yeast fruitiness. The taste is slight bitter up front followed by rye ranginess and quite a bit of belgian yeast flavor. The beer was too light on hop flavor and aroma for my taste, there was enough hop bitterness but other hop aspects were missing, imo. SSSteve (4006) - - SEP 5, 2012
bottle. clear pale orange with a small, stable, white head. apricot tartness aroma. flavors of buttery malts and tart apricot. good bit of booze in here...can’t taste it, but i can feel it. not really the refreshing saison sipper i expected..more like a belgian strong. some sources claim this is 5%, no way. i’d bet this is closer to 8%.
