12oz bottle. Poured a little thin, Tootsie Roll brown with a smaller fizzy light beige head. Aroma of brown paper, stale chocolate, dust, cardboard, pudding skin. Flavor is the same plus a hint of rotting banana. Body is slightly thin, big bubble carbonation, quicker fading AT. Meh.....

12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a darker brown to black with a beige head of foam that dissipates at a moderate rate. The aroma has medium ashy roast and and some leathery sweetness. The taste is like the aroma, but I get more of an anise character than the aroma had indicated. Medium body and medium to higher carbonation.

On tap @ Yazoo. Pretty much black in color. There’s a nice bit of tan foam to it as well. Really nice chocolate and dark roasted malts here. Some hints of coffee, maybe a touch of smoke, and a slight spiciness. Molasses-like quality to the flavor along with a bit of bittersweet chocolate, toast, and toffee. Lightly earthy and some coffee. It’s not too bitter nor too sweet. Pretty solid.

weihenweizen (4127) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - OCT 29, 2015
Refrigerated 12 oz. short brown bottle poured into a glass. Black with dark brow highlights and medium beige head. Aroma is nice dark malt, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is rich dark malt, milk chocolate, and hints of rye. Expected just average beer, but Yazoo delivers another good beer.

Draft at the brewery. Pours dark brown with a fizzy beige head. Tastes like roasted malt, semisweet chocolate, coffee, and biscuit malt. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like semisweet chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and biscuit malt.

aracauna (3682) - Georgia, USA - JUL 19, 2015
This isn’t on the level of Yazoo Sue. That’s not saying it’s a bad beer. It’s a well made porter, it’s just nothing more than a well made porter.

kaser (6382) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 4, 2015
Black pour from 12oz bottle - dock at Lakehouse. From Jason. Malts and dry. Chocolate and light. Oats. Kind of boring but drinkable
