A light, tangy wheat ale influenced by traditional German styles. Quenching and refreshing with a tart finish for these hot Tennessee summer days.

Tasted on 7/18/14 from a capped 12oz bottle purchased at Craft Brewed. Pours hazy dark orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to an average, bubbly collar of lace. The nose is a pretty strange caramelized wheat malt with a briny, fruity and citrus aroma. The flavor is the same with more lemon peel, very salty and dry on the back. The body is light with lively, stinging carbonation, and a medium salty and lemon peel finish. Although this isn’t my favorite, it is very easy to drink.

Draft at BNA. Pours opaque orange amber with a thin, creamy white head. Tastes like lightly tart yeast, wheat, some lemon, light pear, light apple, bready malt, and a hint of salt. Light body, low carbonation, and very refreshing. Smells like tart apple, lemon, pear, bready, and salty cracker malt.

Tap. The look is clear, white head, golden in color. The smell is salt, lime, fruit, wheat, chex. The taste is similar slight dryness. Pretty decent.

Bottle from unknown via Will P. Pours a hazy golden color, some off white head which dissipates quickly. Aroma slight citrus, oranges, generally more yeast-forward but still fairly crisp. Body full yet slightly dull. Three months from bottling date, has this already fallen off? Not very impressed. Finish sweet and yeasty. Meh.

PeteyPie (5) - - SEP 10, 2014 does not count
The body is a little heavy to be a sessionable summer beer, and it tastes a lot like a Blue Moon with a little salinity in the finish. Not bad, but Yazoo has been making big strides recently and this isn’t nearly up to their more recent standards.

Terrible beer. Small steps above a commercially brewed beer, Nashville has such a weak beer scene. Nose dominated by corn, yeast, and slight hints of lemon. Taste is dominated by a metallic flavor. The only wheat is a slight hazy color. Pass on this.

Bottle. Not a very good example of a hefeweissen beer. Cloudy, surprisingly small head. Aroma was weak, a little like grass. Taste was very weak and watery.

Suttree (6537) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 17, 2014
Cloudy yellow, no head. Smells a bit grassy, maybe a touch of banana. Completely still, almost flat. Taste is a bit stale, some wheat-like notes. Ok, I guess.

Nice summer beer. Crisp, refreshing, and nothing too challenging. Enjoyable easy drinking.

daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 8, 2014
Hazed yellow pour, white head. Wheat ale meets Berliner. Light lemon tang, wheat, yeast, spice. Soft and refreshing.

Picked up a sixer at local store. Nice lemony wheat beer. Very crisp and fresh. There is a tartness to it. Very enjoyable beer
