Can at Brewer's Tavern (or whatever it's called), Wandsworth. The barmaid put ice cubes in the glass, do'h. Hazy hoppy aroma. Hazy gold. White film for a head. Medium bitter. Hoppy but also malty. Thin but slick. Fizzy carbonation. Abrupt finish. Enjoyable. Does what it should do. BeerViking (5125) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 21, 2017
Bottle from M&S, pours golden with a slight haze (minus a point overall for trub that isn't nearly sticky enough!) and a fine head. Tropical fruit on the nose - mango, pineapple, kiwi, melon - plus a hint of something herbal. Initially fruity and lightly malty-sweet, with a creamy malty texture, before a moderate bitterness cuts in. Excellent, and maybe a precursor of sorts to the fruitier NEIPAs.
Unclear golden color with a frothy nice white head. Ok lacing. Fine citric aroma. Medium body and an ok carbonation level. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Fruity, citric hoppy and pine in the flavor. Semi dry ending and a lasting tail. Nice refreshing ale.
