Brewed initially for export to USA.
A lmited amount of kegs were released in NZ as Motueka Warrior (as a part of the annual Motueka/Yakima collaboration with Liberty Brewing)

The beer was then brewed for NZ, Aus and Italy under the Digital IPA label. It will be available throughout the southern hemisphere summer of 2011.

NZ Bottle:
This limited-release India Pale Ale (IPA) is an aggressive wee beast that is dedicated to our friend Joseph Wood of Liberty Brewing and to all those hopheads who love drinking IPA day in, day out.
Just as the term digital is all about zeroes and ones, the concept of IPA is all about malts and hops. Enjoy the rich golden malt backbone of Digital while you can... then feel it closing in as the fruity Motueka-grown hops dominate your palate and don’t ever fade away.

IPA as it should be.

bottle , liquorking, cromwell, 2months past sell by date. average nose quite resiny and a bit roasted pineappley, flavour quite rich and more beery than lager/pilsner which is good, excellent palate weight with the 7% and really quite a punchy little beer, finishes good nice and rich. old school IPA with plenty of booze weight and soft beery palate

Great beer, very strong and packing in punch. Not sure I could drink it all night, couldn’t afford to anyway. But a couple of these when sitting in a comfy chair after a hard days slog is no bad thing.

Bottle shared by Chris in Tahoe. Pours copper with with head. Big hop bitterness wig a clean dry finish

01110110011001010111001001111001001000000110100001 - or in English very hoppy, almost dry, not bad. For a beer that they give you the recepie for this would be a cracking try at home home brew. I thought it lacked a finish is all. Nice though light florals, nice bitterness, sweet enough without being cloying and very drinkable.

"english style leaning with the malt balance. not really my thing. i dog the hops used, spicy and floral, but the beer is too malty for what i like in the style.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks Tom L. Slightly hazy deep golden-orange. Aroma of stale fruity hops. Flavor has light malt sweetness, a bit of honey and somewhat stale fruity hops. Medium-bodied. Might be good when fresher, hope to try again.

Very hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is quite hoppy. Citrus, caramel malts, grapefruit, wood, a bit floral. Thiner than expected but a decent medium body. Flavor is floral, citrus, orange, light candied malt. A decent IPA but I don’t see the big draw with this one.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass a light yellow with a nice white head. Aroma is hoppy citrus sweetness. Flavor is juicy sweet with some mild bitterness. Less hoppy than the average IPA yet quite doable. Very smooth & palatable. Would like a second bottle. Please.

From a 330ml bottle on 10/8/2014. Pours a murky golden with a mall head. Has a pleasant aroma featuring lots of caramel malt and fruity hops. Taste wise, it’s quite malt forward, with lots a caramel and a touch of toffee. There’s a fair bit of sweet tropical and stone fruit in there, leading to a firm, satisfying hop bitterness at the back. Has a fullish body and lively carbonation. Not typically US in style, but still very flavoursome, All up, another good’n from Yeastie Boys.
