Wonderfully fluid for a thickly poured beer. Non overtly tart citrus flavour. Nice on the sugar scale. Light in head but retains thickness. Yeastie Boys done it again. Big tick.

Pours hazy golden marmalade colour with thin white head that fades to nothing but a lacing. Grassy hop aroma. Fruity hints of peaches and grapefruit. Oily body that coats the palate nicely. Caramel malts come through supporting a well rounded bitterness. omega (899) - NEW ZEALAND - FEB 15, 2014
Not the beer I remember and is more soft and restrained than remembered. Not overly malty, with the hops being more predominant. Hate to say it at 7% this is an easy drinker! crippledbrewer (45) - - JAN 28, 2014
The bottle pours a clear golden yellow with a little white head that fades to a light scrim around the edge of the glass that leaves a light lacing down the sides. The aroma, whilst not as strong as some of the IPA’s I have sampled, was nicely balanced and featured New Zealand hops with tropical fruits, grass, light citrus and a little bit of caramel. The taste starts with a massive dose of tropical fruit salad that slowly evolves into a medium bitterness that is backed up by a solid malt backbone and the bitterness lingers for a medium amount of time. The mouth feel is smooth and crisp with light carbonation, medium body feel with high drinkability. beersighted (135) - - JAN 26, 2014
This kiwi pale ale had a very mild aroma, but a moderate citrus hop taste. After a malty base flavor, a sweet flavor reminiscent of apple or pear was prominent from the motueka hops. This was an original beer, unlike many American IPAs.

Bottled. New Zealand holiday 2011-12. Old notes. The aroma is citric. Clear, golden coloured with a white head. the taste is moderate bitter, has light veggie tones, citrus. Relative light bodied compared to ABV. Nice. JBPortland (1578) - Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA - JAN 22, 2014
12oz bottle pours clear toasted orange with almost no head, nearly flat. Nose is pretty non-existent, faint traces of citrus fruit but mostly some must grainy notes. Taste is dull, decent malt balance but no real hops to be found, faint fruity citrus, cereal grains. Finish is very mild bitterness and cereal. Will give this the benefit of doubt and assume it is just extremely old, but of course I have no way of knowing since they can’t be bothered to date the bottles. Last time I attempt to buy a hoppy beer from the other side of the world. ABUSEDGOAT (2904) - California, USA - JAN 22, 2014
Clear yellowish orange, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is mango, tropical fruit, lemon, grass, light grapefruit, light caramel. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness. KyleCameron (33) - NEW ZEALAND - JAN 6, 2014
Nice hop bitterness and great dark colour. Good clarity. A malt based beer rather than hop. The hop profile is high in bitterness but lower in the dry hopping and flavour. Caramel shows through on the nose as the prominent character and follows through on the palate. A refreshing beer that I would buy again. Tmoney99 (15130) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 13, 2013
Bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate balanced aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. Good brew.
