Brewed initially for export to USA.
A lmited amount of kegs were released in NZ as Motueka Warrior (as a part of the annual Motueka/Yakima collaboration with Liberty Brewing)

The beer was then brewed for NZ, Aus and Italy under the Digital IPA label. It will be available throughout the southern hemisphere summer of 2011.

NZ Bottle:
This limited-release India Pale Ale (IPA) is an aggressive wee beast that is dedicated to our friend Joseph Wood of Liberty Brewing and to all those hopheads who love drinking IPA day in, day out.
Just as the term digital is all about zeroes and ones, the concept of IPA is all about malts and hops. Enjoy the rich golden malt backbone of Digital while you can... then feel it closing in as the fruity Motueka-grown hops dominate your palate and don’t ever fade away.

IPA as it should be.

Wonderfully fluid for a thickly poured beer. Non overtly tart citrus flavour. Nice on the sugar scale. Light in head but retains thickness. Yeastie Boys done it again. Big tick. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BOTTLE. Old stock, a good 3 years old.. Clear golden pour with bubbly white head.. Malt, honey & tropical fruity nose.. Thick syrup malt backbone, hops have faded but enough fruit punch sweetness that it was drinkable, might have enjoyed it better old then fresh...!??? Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

This beer has suffered with age; the hops took a beating. There’s still a little hop flavor and aroma, but not much. What’s left is a little like wet cardboard. Not a bad beer, just well past its prime.

Bottle at home split with Sarah. Mostly clear deep orange, caramel brown coloured pour with a lasting cream coloured head. Aroma is caramel malts, toffee, orange rind, with a faint grassy hop. Flavour is composed of rounded brown sugars, sticky toffee, pine and orange rind. Faint jammy fruit. A little warming alcohol. Palate is medium bodied, little resin. highish carbonation. Hops are a little old, grassy sileage.

Bottle. Pours light hazy golden, with a small, creamy head. Aroma is light tropical, with apricots and mango, as well as some sweet malty toffee. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet hops, with floral notes and apricots, as well as grapefruit giving a bitter finish.

colui72 (1157) - HONG KONG - JUN 14, 2015
Hazy golden, medium-thick beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, very citric and hoppy taste. Bitter finish that recalls the grapefruit. Good IPA.

Smells of wet clothes. Medium amber with a small head but nice lacing. The taste is reamy with red berries, honny and malt. Long aftertaste of hops and apricot.

Chudwick (3423) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - MAR 29, 2015
11.2oz bottle - nose is a citrus/grass mash-up. Sip adds a malty backbone. Quite bitter with faint sweetness. Bitter finish. Makes me wish I had spicy Indian food to go with this. Grapefruit aftertaste.

gunnar (9922) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAR 21, 2015
Bottle from Vinmonopolet, Kvadrat. Pours murky amber with a small white head. Aroma of ripe almost rotten fruit. Taste is a tad better, crisp minty hops, with a light oily palate, fresh and lingering hops thrughout, lingering lovely minty.

bbertels (507) - NORWAY - MAR 20, 2015
Bottle. Whiffs of subtle hops asend from the glass after it pours nicely. Promising. But the taste reveals a powerhouse of bitter hop tones. Not extremely well-balanced but really interesting!

jjgmd (2289) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2015
With Zach, pours a rusty orange color, with a flat head. Blind taste. Nose is sweet with strong honey and fruit. Taste is very sweet with strong toffee and caramel. Not very hoppy , richer in malt. Ends on moderately sweet long notes. Quaff Score 7 / 10
