COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The second of two results from a Yeastie Boys’ shareholder blending sessions in September 2016. We’ve blended a fresh young dark ale with a combination of wine barrel-aged vintage ales (three year old wild PKB and two-year old Cherry Ghost).

750ml bottle pours a dark brown color with a bit of frothy head. Mild barrel flavors. Strong New Zealand style hops. Mellow.

Draft at Beer Temple. Clear red with a pink head. Aroma of red fruits, doughy notes, lightly floral, vinous, light oak. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

It starts of very rich and full, soft and mellow, then washes away to a bitterness which is lingering. Aroma is somewhat like ash or it’s very woody. Rather nice, a bit unexpected.

Dark balenced notes. Chocolate notes well balanced and aged well. Not too out there but still extremely enjoyable.

On tap at Brothers Beer. Not much in the way of aroma, but the taste is more interesting. Biscuits, red wine, roasted nuts, little dried fruit. It’s nice. Maybe not got the complexity you might expect given the description.
