Im not sure this is the beer. Keg at the Kings Arms. A clear chestnut brown coloured pour with a lasting frothy beige head. Aroma is faint roast, woody nutty malts, forest fruits, Juniper, pine. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty malts, little treacle, liquorice,, woody roast, little bubble gum. Palate is medium bodied, frothy carbonation, little creamy. Good. Lingering mellow roast and herbal notes.

It starts of very rich and full, soft and mellow, then washes away to a bitterness which is lingering. Aroma is somewhat like ash or its very woody. Rather nice, a bit unexpected.

Dark balenced notes. Chocolate notes well balanced and aged well. Not too out there but still extremely enjoyable.

On tap at Brothers Beer. Not much in the way of aroma, but the taste is more interesting. Biscuits, red wine, roasted nuts, little dried fruit. Its nice. Maybe not got the complexity you might expect given the description.
