On tap at Galbraiths, the last keg. Pours black with an off white head. Really nice fruit and citrus aroma’s which blend well with subtle notes of coffee and chocolate. Mouthfeel is silky with a smooth bitterness which lingers on the tounge. Hints of choc and roast malt in the finish.

Can. Black with a fat residing foam. Scent medium toasted malt. Taste mature roasted malt and caramelised flavors. Mature but fairly simple. Very good.

pictoman (1146) - British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 16, 2017
Poured from the tap. Very dark brown with beige head. Lots of dark chocolate with some mild roast malt and light grass hops. Interesting blend, decent, but not complete harmony. Good nonet-the-less. The bar (Roundhouse Hong Kong) wrongly advertises it as a Black IPA which I disagree with.

Vighals (4073) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - JUL 1, 2017
Svart med høyt beige skum. Lukter animalsk, lakris, krutt og kaffe. Middels fylde. Søtlig lakris, mørke frukter, noe kandis og mørke frukter.

0.33l can. This one pours a brown, dark brown colored body with a nice medium sized beige head on the top. Nice small dots down the glass. On the nose it’s mild roasted. A little bit of milk chocolate, some elder hoppy citrus tones. Doesn’t smell bad at all, well hopped. It has a thin oily texture in the mouth and it’s above average on the carbonation. Big bubbled. Tastes very old. Dusty and a little roasted. Old tea, it’s very minerallic and mouthdrying. Almost a little tart woody. Roasted dusty and dryish tail with hints of coffee. Absolutely drinkable this, though I don’t feel a huge needs for seconds. 29.06.2017

Can, pours black with an off white head. Aroma is like walking in a spruce forest on a rainy morning. taste is a bit thin, dry roast with pine and resin. Firm bitterness, low sweetness, dry cocoa powder finish.

Bottiglia.
