Keg at The Hanging Bat. Pours clearish goldenish. Nose is huge smoke and peat, I dont like the aroma. Taste is still strong smoke, also sweet maltiness, orange. Maris (1612) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - DEC 5, 2015
From a 330ml bottle on 5/12/2015. Pours a murky dark golden with not much of a head. The nose is full on peat, with a smoky, bacony vibe. There’s masses of peat and smoke in the flavour, but there’s also a lovely fruity sweetness in there which complements the smoky intensity, with a mild but sticky bitterness. The texture is slick and the carbonation is very soft. This is a lovely, crazy, peaty beer. Reminds me of Hopdog’s sublime 2013 Super Beast, which is very high praise. madmitch76 (26442) - , Essex, ENGLAND - SEP 11, 2015

After the horrors of Rex Attitude I approached this one with much caution. Hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly crisp. Mildly sweet toffee malts, trace if cream. The peat is pretty light after Rex Attitude. Thank God! But it’s still a peat laden beer. Dry finish. Passable. Hides the abv well.
Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a good glossy white head. Aroma is ridiculous, smells like barbecued smoke bacon crossed with islay malt whisky. Taste is smokey smoke and smoked fruit, slightly sweet but mostly spicy bitter. Mild carbonation with a medium body with oil. Very weird, but I love peaty whiskys so I quite liked it. 330ml bottle at Beer Station, Xiamen. Pours hazy golden orange with a thin white head. Aroma is medicinal smokey. Sweet finish. Not sure this is much more than alcoholic TCP but enjoyable.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of smoke, peat, oranges. Taste is woody, smoke, light sour. Some citrus fruit. Oily to thin texture. Doesn?t drink to the strength. Very smoky building flavour. BramV (3) - - MAR 15, 2015 does not count
Still a smoky beer, but I enjoyed the rex attitude more , maybe because it suprised me, maybe because this one has more alcohol which camouflages the taste a bit tdtm82 (1701) - Essex, ENGLAND - MAR 4, 2015
Bottle. thanks Alex of Ale House.
Golden colour; orange; coriander, Cointreau orange spirits, manderines and a metallic somewhat off-putting texture. Not great but I think it got hot in transport. Scopey (16277) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2015
Bottle. Thanks to me bro for not scooping this himself! It pours clear deep orange with a small off-white head. The nose is big, rich, smoke, earth, massive dirty smoked peat, smoked cheese and plenty of medicinal action. The taste is rich, bitter-sweet, big smoke, peat, earth, oily, straw, honeyed grain, medicinal dirt, whisky and warming alcohol with a det, warming finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Yup. This does it for me. Big smoked peat equals fun times. Stuu666 (15248) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 15, 2015
Keg at spitfire. Pours clear amber, nose is smoked, peat, fruity, taste is dry, smoky, juicy, sweet, tasty.
