Rich, deep and complex, our Munich Dunkel is many things, but heavy isn’t one of them. This classic German dark lager is the beer style that started it all for our Brewmaster. Take the time to savor it slowly and you’ll find flavors of biscuits, cocoa and caramel. To enjoy life on the dark side, just say…YEE-HAW!

FROTHINGSLOSH (8487) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2018
Rachel brought this one back from a trip to TN. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with orange highlights and a huge tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty and woody. The flavor was bitter and sourish with roasty malts, wood and astringency. Long finish. Medium body.

Pint at Bearden Beer Market. Dark brown body, big head. The malty nose is right on. Notes of raisins, toffee, chocolate, and brown sugar come through. Solid malt character in the flavor too. Not too much roast, just nice bready, dessert like suggestions. It doesn't finish quite as dry as a classic dunkel. Not too shabby.

Yee Haw Dunkel has a medium, creamy, beige head, a very dark brown appearance, and low-level glass lacing. The aroma is of roasted malt, syrup, and peat smoke. Taste is of smoky, peaty malt, smoked pork, sweet brown bread crust, and sugar. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Yee Haw Dunkel finishes medium dry. RJT

Clear, deep cola brown-black, not much head. Sweetish, roasted fruity aroma. Roasty, fruity, slightly creosotic, dry, toasted soy nuts. Good carbo, solid body. Solid overall. On tap at the brewery, Johnson City, Tennessee.

12/20/17. 12oz bottle from a gas station in TN. Dark brown pour with a nice tan head. Roasty aroma, biscuits, bread, caramel. Okay flavor, some roast, chocolate, and biscuit, but also a meaty savory aspect and an acidic lemon juice type tinge. Eh.

bpar73 (1262) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2017
On tap. Pours black with a tan head. Dark roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate in the taste and aroma.

Draft at Martin’s BBQ downtown. Pours a clearish brown with a small finger of foam. Dark chocolate, light coffee and caramel notes. Clean with some nice roasty character. Some peppercorns on the finish underneath the caramel and dark chocolate. With all this going on, never cloying and goes down like water. DIggin’ this one!
