This intensely hopped American IPA carries just enough body to balance a serious hop flavor and bitterness. The aroma of pine and citrus delivers the signature beauty of this style.

Jimmie's Ladder 11, Dayton, draft. Good lacing! Copper. No aroma to my nose. Smooth. Not very IPA. Is it an IPA? Idk. It's a degree better than OK.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2016 Citrusy and malty aroma; attractive orange color; sugary generous bitterness, slightly resiny, caramel maltiness but not too sweet; medium body, smooth, soft mouthfeel; drinks like an amped up English IPA, good interpretation and something a bit different, very drinkable.

Draft to taster at brew pub pour lightly hazy dark gold with thin white head. Nose light tropical fruit hop and some dank hop. Taste moderate bitter bite up front that continues through the finish. Some fruit hop, but mostly bittering. Their APA zoetic is more flavorful. Green bitter finish. As it warms, much more hop flavors come through.

on tap @ Yellow Springs / OH --- Clear dark copper amber color, solid off-white head, a curtain of lace. Nice aroma of malt and grapefruit. Taste is malt in a robust medium-bodied brew that adds solid floral hops in the finish. When all else drops off, there are the hops, lingering indefinitely. Somewhat typical, but, very well done.

On tap at Cincinnati Winter Beer Fest 2015. Half hazy amber golden color. Good thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick finish, then drying. Grapefruit hop, kind of spicy. Satisfying amount of bigger hop. Moderate to bigger bitter taste, light sweet. Mild zest. Drinks like a DIPA. Pretty assertive. Great assertive, very hoppy IPA.

Draft to taster at the brewery. Looks solid; malty though. A transparent copperish orange with foamy eggshell head. Smells solid too; nice and hoppy with a medium-bodied pale malt backbone. Tastes like it smells with a decent mouthfeel. Solid beer, but sweeter than I’d prefer.
