True to the Belgian style and aged on cherry wood. I had this beer on draft. Even with this aged a year and still holds true my compliments to the guys at Yellowhammer. Great beer hope more get a chance to enjoy it.

2016 version bomber bottle picked up at the brewery driving TN to FL after Christmas. Chestnut brown color with a bubbly tan head. Nice aroma of yeast, banana, clove, and a hint of hops in the end. Bold flavor of dark malt and syrup plus light bitterness and a warming booziness in the finish. Pretty tasty. Shag (3077) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - DEC 23, 2016
A dark brown color with a ruby tint and a beige head. The aroma contains cherries, chocolate, nutmeg, and cookie dough. The flavor is slightly sour and slight sweet with a lot of maraschino cherries, chocolate, dark fruit, and caramel. Despite the ABV I do not taste much alcohol. The palate is a bit thinner than expected. Overall a nice beer. glennmastrange (2957) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - AUG 7, 2016
Bottle. Moderate to heavy roasted and toffee for the malt, moderate cooked orange, light dough for the yeast, with wood, tobacco and smoke. Head is small wispy, slightly off-white, with some slippery lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy dark brown. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, slick with a soft to lively carbonation and a lightly astringent and alcoholic finish. A nice well rounded Belgian Strong Ale. djd07 (16554) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 31, 2016
Bottle thanks to Rick. Pours brown with no head. The aroma is cherry skin and oak. Thin mouth, toasted malt, cherry pith, spice, ok.

Black, with a big frothy white head. Smells like cherry and bourbon. Smooth, rich palate. Taste is pit fruit, cherry and vanilla, some boozy notes, and a hint of tobacco. nearbeer (5754) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 6, 2016
22 oz. bottle 2015 vintage that indicates 9.2% abv. Pours foggy chestnut with a lasting creamy film on top. Nose is tart cherry and hints of brown sugar and spicy dates. Tastes of toasted wood, prune, dark bread and cherry. Medium-heavy body has low-medium smooth carbonation and a nice balance. Good, but not as tasty and complex as the barrel-aged version. Draft/growler from WYWB. Reddish brown color with no head. Aroma is dark fruits with the flavor of plums, raisins, and cherries along with sweetness from molasses. Very boozy on the front end but it has a good finish. Travlr (27139) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 20, 2014
