The Huckleberry Wheat is bear food in a bottle! Most other fruit beers have such a tart snap that you can't taste the beer. The Huckle-Weizen is BEER with just enough huckleberry to make you yearn for the wilderness!

Pours a hazy golden brownish color. Aromas of mild berries, wheat bread, and a touch of hops. Flavor is a nice balance of soft fruit flavor with malts and a crisp dry finish. Im not big on fruit beers, but this one has a subdued flavor, not over the top.

Bottle at BZN Airport. Tastes mildly sweet and smooth with a hint of huckleberry. Smells cool and crisp. Almost no carbonation or head. Tasty for a fruit beer.

Golden color with a thin white head. Very flowery aroma with a strong herbal quality. Slight fruits which I presume to be huckleberries, but Ive never had one so Im not really sure. The taste has a bit of wheat on it, but is really about the same as the aroma. Not outstanding, but pretty tasty.

Appearance: Pours a pale golden body with a small, fizzy-looking white head. Smell: Boom. There you go. Huckleberries. Taste: This beer offers enough of the fruity, juicy huckleberry quality we all seek without getting excessive about it. Beyond that, theres just a soft hint of wheat and lemon. Finishes crisp and tart. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Finally, a beer that allows me to get my huckleberry "fix".

This is a surprisingly good fruity hefe. Comparable to some of the better raspberry weizens but with a slightly more tart sweetness. Picked this up in Sheridan, WY in 2013.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2007 12oz bottle-Aroma of huckleberry on a slightly hazy light amber body. Taste of sour and more sour. Could have potential. Not the worst but not the best.

Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of huckleberries, malt and grain. Taste is sour and tart with huckleberry a bit puckering. Could use some sweet malt to help balance it out. Somewhat astringent and not very good.

Big, foamy head; cloudy, dried-apricot hue. Crisp and spritzy up front; smoother and creamier toward the finish. Light malts with flavors of dough and crackers. Light notes of yeast -- wholesome and earthy. Nice level of huckleberry, just enough to show up in the background. Very, very mild bitterness. A refreshing beer with nice things going on, but not overly exciting.

Draft: Hazy pale yellow pour with a small white head. Mild huckleberry aroma, more in the taste. A bit of florals and light wheat. Finished a little soapy.
