The Huckleberry Wheat is bear food in a bottle! Most other fruit beers have such a tart snap that you can't taste the beer. The Huckle-Weizen is BEER with just enough huckleberry to make you yearn for the wilderness!

I typically can’t stand berry flavored beers. I didn’t like Leinie’s berry or Sam Adam’s Cherry Wheat. So needless to say I wasn’t expecting much out of this beer. When I opened it and poured it, I got a HUGE white foamy head. It has a definitive berry smell to it but the taste of the berry was very subtle. I actually kind of, in a wierd way enjoyed this beer. It seems that all Yellowstone Valley beers are good.

Gushing, despite restrained pour. Dark amber tinted orange golden glow, topped with mountains of crystal white head. Not much aroma, slight fruit and malt. Flavor is like a slightly fruity typical lager, with a tinge of wheat and yeast in the background. A light estery berry fruit in the nose and on the back end. Very drinkable.

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2007 12oz bottle-Aroma of huckleberry on a slightly hazy light amber body. Taste of sour and more sour. Could have potential. Not the worst but not the best.

hazy yellow, fine white head, sweet fruity berry aroma, starts sweet and fruity and then takes an abrupt u-turn with tartness, well balanced as a result

Thick gold pour with small white head. Sweet flower smell. Flavor is tart and sour with generic berry flavor with some wheat. Its hard, but you can finally filter out and get a little huckleberry towards the end.

Gold Coloring with Frothy White Head. Lemony and Malty Aroma. Flowery, Citrus Notes...Light Hops.. Smooth and Very Drinkable. Simplistic Enough to be a Lawn Mower Brew.

Pours a hazy golden brownish color. Aromas of mild berries, wheat bread, and a touch of hops. Flavor is a nice balance of soft fruit flavor with malts and a crisp dry finish. I’m not big on fruit beers, but this one has a subdued flavor, not over the top.

Draft: Hazy pale yellow pour with a small white head. Mild huckleberry aroma, more in the taste. A bit of florals and light wheat. Finished a little soapy.

12oz bottle pours with a deep gold body that has a slight haze and supports a thin light tan head. The aroma offers up fruity tartness, table sugar and some berry to cranberry like fruitiness. The taste starts tart and fruity with an edge of mild yeasty tartness. To midway it gets soft and sugary and a bit aspartame like too. It ends with a decent berry fruitiness.
