The Huckleberry Wheat is bear food in a bottle! Most other fruit beers have such a tart snap that you can't taste the beer. The Huckle-Weizen is BEER with just enough huckleberry to make you yearn for the wilderness!

Cloudy pale yellow with perhaps a touch of pink -look kind of like a fuzzy peach. Quickly diminishing head. Very fruity aroma - apple, apricot. huckleberry? Thankoodness the flavor isn’t quite as sticky sweet as the aroma. Berry sweetness with some wheat malt sweetness in the background. Slight acidic finish helps clear some of the sweetness away. Not bad for a fruit beer.

Bottle at the RateBeer DC Tasting shared by Travlr, thanks Gene! Aromas of wheat, hay, light tart notes. Tastes of citrus, floral, wheat. Medium body with a dry finish. High carbonation.

Bottle. Pours a hazy light amber with a thin white head that rapidly diminishes to a ring of foam. The aroma has some wheat, yeast and fruit. Medium to light body with fizzy carbonation. The taste is sweet-tart. The taste is like "hard lemonade" without fakey aroma and aftertaste of Mike’s. Lingering tart finish. An unusual beer that I probably wouldn’t seek out again.

sampled from bottles: clear orange, no head and no lacing. Aroma is watermelon, flower bouquet and nectarines. Taste is as sweet as the aroma. peaches, nectar from the fruits being squeezed. This beer is like one big fruit basket. A little too sweet for my liking.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow with lasting white, foamy head. Flavor is over-powering tartness. Seems almost like a sour beer.

Head is initially small, white, frothy, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light amber, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with notes of lemon, raspberry, and strawberry. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, syrupy texture, lively carbonation. Cloying syrupy sweetness hurts this one. But then again, the aroma isn't much either.

It poured out a nice cloudy golden color but had very little head. The flavor got worse and worse with each drink. Strawberry and citrus taste with mild carbonation. Tasted like a flat strawberry soda. wierd aftertaste.

The berries don’t make this too offensive. Golden pour. Average carbonation. Sour finish. Bottle thanks to Travlr.

Hazy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of huckleberries, malt and grain. Taste is sour and tart with huckleberry – a bit puckering. Could use some sweet malt to help balance it out. Somewhat astringent and not very good.

Bottle. Interesting. Wheat and fruit on the nose. Quite sour on the palate. Is this a fruit or a sour? I’m not sure what to think of this. Decent, but odd.
