Bottle conditioned.
A very attractive alternative to the classic Pils. The Yerseke’s Mosselbier offers more color and more taste. First you taste the bitterness of the hops, immediately followed by a light sweetness of the roasted malt. The dark amber color in a special flute glass is an enrichment for the table.

Bottle @ home.
Clear light orange color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, fully dimimnishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy buttery. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. ( acrid / rancid / bitter flavor ). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (230408)

25 cL bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Dry brewmash aroma. Oxidised flavour with notes of caramel and dry malt base. Ends dry and malty. Bottle was 1 year after BBD, would be nice to rerate a fresher bottle.

A dark amber beer with a beutiful head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with notes of coriander, and sour lemon befor a dry hoppy end sets in.

Bottled. Clear golden colour, not much head. Maltish nose with hoppy hints. Fruitish malty flavour with ryebreadish notes. Sticky palate. Not that special.

Bottled. Reddish amber with very rich, fine creamy head. Sweet with big toffee flavour, othre wise clean and rather light flavourwise. Lightly salty finish. Actually quite similar to oyster with it's dicrete flavour and light saltiness.

(Bottle 25 cl) My sample at 4,5% ABV. Dark golden with a fairly large head. Rather light in body with a dry hoppiness. Quenching if not overly exciting beer. 300695

[Keg] Red amber color, with a thin persistent collar. Good and easy to drink, because of some dryness and astringency (and a light oak note), but not impressive.

Test vom 3.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,11,11,12,10,11

Amber, no head. Has a nice and malty aroma that brings butter and some toffee. Flavor is really sour, quite nice.

Hazy amber; yeasty, dry maltiness on the nose. Spritzy, slightly cakey malt, allspice, hop dryness. Intended to be consumed alongside mussels, and alongside meules belgiques the yeastiness dropped out of the beer, which to me was an improvement. The mussels improved the beer, but the beer didn't really do anything for the mussels.
