UPDATED: OCT 7, 2016 Re-rate: Can from Natural Lawson. Drank straight from the can. Lots of grapefruit and light tropical notes on the nose. Feelsl light on the palate but still well-balanced with a much less intense malt character. Definitely some west coast influence now. Good citrusy, juicy hops with a lingering, pithy bitterness which is subdued and quite nice. This has to be a new recipe, definitely not the Aooni of the past few years. Really solid and this batch was better than Captain Crow. 330ml can from Masuyo’s in Tokyo. Poured into a shaker half pint. Beautiful rich copper color with a modest white head. Pine needles, tree sap, dark honey aromas present. A slight sweet malt flavor peeks out only to be squashed immediately by a tsunami of bitterness on the palate that drags the beer down as you swallow. A little too overwhelmingly bitter.

Moebbels (797) - FINLAND - FEB 14, 2015
Pours a slightly hazy yellow body with a fluffy, lasting white head. Nose has nice notes of honey, resin, citrus fruits and flowers. Taste is mildly sweet but is quickly overruled by a hefty bitterness that leads to a lingering bitter finish. Medium carbonation and a rich, oily palate. Very nice and well balanced IPA.

jmgreenuk (9450) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JAN 21, 2015
Can at Brew (Asiatique), Bangkok. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head and a little broken lace. The aroma is big fruity citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a grass nettle hop, light toothpaste bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied witn average carbonation. A big hopfest for sure, but it seems to hang together quite well.
