Chilled and into a tulip. Looks the bill of health. Big and lasting snowhite cap atop a pastel lemon curd yellow body with fine carbonation. Funny aroma; hints at boiled rice, play-doh and dried mushroom with a safety net of straw, palest malt grist and stale hop leaves. On the palate it is pasty, starchy and dominated by grain husk and rice flavours. A watery sake underneath a lager perhaps. Quite light with soft, spritzy carbonation. Finish has a lengthy bitterness grassy and dry. I cant tell whether I like it or not. Strange flavours here. A touch of fruit sugar upfront gives it a tang. Strange! (35cL can, no date stamp, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Can from Amazon as part of a Yo-Ho 4 can set. Served in a pilsner glass it pours a deep gold with a good 1 cm head of fizzy foam. Sweet, lightly bready pilsner malts. Sweet, then bready then a soapy sweetness kind of reminding me of that mini-purple chewing gum that had a slight soapiness to it. The finish is semi-dry, refreshing and lightly hoppy, it has enough of a malt profile but it a bit too sweet for me plus I dont dig that mild soapiness. Actually once I get used to it that initial soapy feeling is gone and it becomes a pretty average pils. OK.
