Can. Quality pour you’d expect -- richly black, with a substantial head. The aroma is somewhat off-putting, with a sourly sweet licorice essence. The beer drinks with a bit more restraint, the bitter chocolate bite being not quite as pronounced, and actually quite drinkable. Can:   Deep brown, thin beige head, sudsy, sparce lacing.   Nose is slightly pasture like.   Otherwise soft roastiness and a little (touch) of lactose.   Mild bitterness on the tongue.   Make that VERY mild
bitterness.   Slight cocoa and watered down coffee on the backside.   Not a big Porter, and certainly not like a west coast example.   Remains flavorful tho from start to finish.   Decent example.   Body and mouthfeel
are moderate to full.   Has a decent body at least. obguthr (6833) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - NOV 20, 2011
Can: Oatmeal and almond aroma, mild. Black, thick beige head. Flavor is char, yeast. Subtle kiss of sweet almond in the end. I struggled to flesh out any nuances. Rather plain. Beer5000 (6825) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 19, 2014
350ml can @ Cardinal. Pitch black body with a big beige head. Very nice aroma of mild roasted malt and expresso coffee. Flavor is medium sweet, rather heavy roasted dark malt, coffee, dry fruit, some chocolate and moderate bitterness. Good and balanced body with a roasted aftertaste. Pretty good this one considering relatively low ABV. berkshirejohn (6771) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 28, 2008

Jet black with a thin tan head; aroma of deep roasted malt with some chocolate; smooth with sweet lactic malts to start and then some dry coffee flavour developing; lingering bitter finish.
03.12.2014, 0,35l can @ Apollon:Holmen1 (6666) - Stavanger, NORWAY - MAY 20, 2014
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet, dark malts, licorice, "knekk", dark sugar, coffee, hay, chocolate. Taste is slightly dry, dark malts, hay, burnt caramel, licorice, grass, paper, coffee. Medium bitterness, slightly dry and thin mouthfeel. Fair enough.
Can sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Naama. Pours black with a beige to brown head, aroma of fruits, chocolate, malt sweetness, flavor is bitter with chocolate, light acidity, medium bodied. mkel07 (6549) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - OCT 31, 2012
330ml bottle. Black as a moonless night with a big thick light brown head. Roasted malt flavour with a hint of chocolate and vanilla. Lighter in the mouth than expected but very good. Singularity (6369) - Blattniksele, SWEDEN - AUG 3, 2014
