UPDATED: MAR 30, 2016 330ml can from Masuyo. Slight aromas of tropical fruit and pine. Not that intense. Flavor is very malty. Creamy mouthfeel. Nothing special. Clear copper with a nice off-white head that looks good. Grapefruit on the nose with some tropical fruit. Taste is more of the same with some caramel and resin in there as well. Body is slightly watery. Finish has some solid bitterness. Not bad at all for the price and availability.

Can poured at home. Full off-white head with hints of mango. Slightly hazy orange-brown appearance with moderate carbonation. Does not taste like an American Pale Ale, but a slightly hopped kolsch or saison even. Creamy and full-bodied. Caramel malt. A very different and pleasant treat!

Can, at Cardinal. An unclear, orange colored beer with a dense, off-white to beige head leaving lacings. It’s rather weak on the nose, fruitiness and lightly bready malts, and pine cones. Lightly bitter on the palate, medium dry and medium full body, with a soft carbonation. Pine cones, fruits and bready malts in the flavor, mostly fruity in the swallow. An easy drinkable beer, but lacking personality. 141101

Pours a hazy dark orange body with an off-white head that settles down to an uneven layer. Nose has mild floral ,rapeseed and caramel notes. Taste is fairly sweet with a nice, mildly bitter finish. Carbonation is on the lively side with a nice, full palate. Quite nice, subtle and well balanced pale ale. The aromas are probably quite subdued due to this being and older can.

330 ml can from Don Quijote in Akihabara, poured into a plastic cup on the Narita Express to the airport. Clear golden orange with big off-white head. Aromas of floral and citrus. Tastes of citrus, floral notes, light caramel, some herbs. Medium body with a dry finish.

12 oz can. Pours a light cloudy copper color with a foamy head. Sweet malty aroma. Flavor has some sweet fruit, caramel, and medium maltiness. Some apple flavor specifically. A strange soapy flavor in the background as well. Interesting beer. Not too bad.

Can bought in Yoshiya Saine on Kagurazaka high street. Pours very light, clear, chestnut brown, white foam head. Nose is caramel, earthy hop, toffee, bit of nutmeg spice, ale fruity. Taste is dry, earthy, nutty English hop, caramel, toffee, little nutmeg, slight astringent hop.

Rerate in Kagurazaka, Tokyo. Canned. Style is American pale ale. Pours really nice refreshing looking amber orange colour with foaming white head. Aroma is mainly citrous tangerine, pine and bit of sweet caramelly malt. Taste is cascade hops, light tangerine and then a really nice caramel and caramel biscuit malt. Sweet tangerine and caramel with a sharp pine hop bit at the end. Not complex but nice and simple and delicate.
