350ml Can from Lawson's Station, Kyoto (¥242): This one was a fairly decent beer from Yo-Ho but definitely one that I felt could have used being a little stronger & more pronounced, particularly with the nose. It was leaning towards the sweeter side of things but I enjoyed the malt bitterness & earthy hops that did feature, coupled well with some floral flavours further on. It was an easy one to drink & one to try if you're in Japan but it's not really anything out of the ordinary I'm afraid.

Can. Light golden, small to average and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty and dryish - lightly sweetish aroma, faint - light tropical fruitiness, light - some citrus/grapefruit hoppyness. Body is light to medium, malty and dryish flavor, faint tropical fruitiness, light citrus hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and dryish, light citrus hoppyness, faint metal. OK fruity aroma but flavor/finish lack fruitiness, finish is bit harsh.

Can @ Japan. Appearance: pours clear amber-copper with ok white soapy head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, bread, peach and light citrus. palette: fruity and hoppy aroma, average carbonation, medium body, medium malt sweetness, balanced by an average to notable bitterness, medium duration and a watery texture. Overall: Surprisingly refreshing and tasteful

Pour: Pours a creamy orange. A tinge of hazy gold. Head is one finger and creme colored. Bouquet: Notes of hay and grass with a hop background. Smells yeasty, with a bitterness reminiscent of pilsner. Taste: It starts with a creamy yeast. The hops cut through, bringing a bitter yet refreshing bite. Slight citrus. The finish is grass, and a wood such as and ash or a pine. Mouth Feel: Light to medium bodied. Soft caramel carbonation. Overall: It reminds me of a San-Fransisco Sourdough bread. I would pair this with pulled pork sandwiches (and other traditional cook-out), seafood, or smoked herring.
