Bottle at Chris_o Pre GBBF Shindig 08. Gold/copper, thin lasting beige head. OK bitter, bit malty, bit too sweet and frankly not really very well integrated, which surprised me as York is normally a very good brewer. Oakes (18756) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 28, 2000
Earthy, lightly toasty, well-balanced.....................................

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoon (live rating) Gold to amber with white head. Quite a pleasant light bitter with the York Brewery hoppy note, fresh and quite sharp with a lightly roasted malt. Quite acceptable for a Sunday lunchtime. Christian (13814) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 27, 2009
Pale amber with a small white head. Aroma of cramel and orange, with a cardboard note. Dry and fruity flavour quite bitter and a little dusty KimJohansen (10497) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - AUG 3, 2008
Clear deep golden with medium white head. Sweet and fruity aroma with discrete hoppy an citric notes. Flavor likewise with a mild bitter end. Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 2, 2007
It’s a warm golden beer with a nice head. The aroma has notes of caramel, a bit of aroma hops and isn’t very strong. The flavour has notes of fruit, a lot of apples, and a rather dry and moderate bitterness. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 5, 2006
