Draught, very dark amber to brown, small tan head, mostly lasting. Floral and grapefruit aroma, mild but fragrant. Very appetising, taste is bitter, hoppy, getting more intense in the finish that fades away gradually. Oily, medium to full body. Bitter. AshtonMcCobb (6614) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 3, 2016
On cask at the Yorkshire Terrier in York.
Appearance - deep amber to brown with a lovely head.
Nose - overwhelming nutmeg and ginger. Some malt but hard to find.
Taste - same again although biscuit malt atleast discernible.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a slightly sweet spicy finish.
Overall - a bit heavy handed with the Christmas spices. s_hartshorne (2784) - wakefield, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2014
