pours dark, almost black, with a bit of beige foam. Aroma is mix of black berries, some fruitiness and smoked barley. Yeast is recognisable. Taste is quite intense, berries and slight banana. Smokiness all through, bitter roasty feel is there as well, complete with a crisp lingering bitterness. Dry and flavorful. Thanks Davido for this!

Yorocco Ace of Space Dark Saison 5.5%
Pitch black with a thick beige head and an aroma of dates plus chocolate. Soft with a round carbonation and a med-full body. The taste is savoury, soy, treacle, dates, figs, chocolate syrup with a mild saison character and some hearty roastiness. Very nice easy drinking stuff and the perfect capper to a day at the beach.

For 5.5% this has alot going on. Lots of brownie flavours, weed, dark chocolate and a nice hop finish. Missing a little in mid palate, but otherwise a spendid, unique brew, that drinks at 8% or so. maekchu (4104) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAY 29, 2016
Bottle. Thanks KL. Roasty nose, light berries, and yeast. Cloudy brown color, light tan head. Dark roast (but very mild) initial flavor, sweet dark fruit, tangy, light bitterness in mid palate and finish. Thin body, low carbonation. Interesting, smooth, and pleasant. varanid99 (1399) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 28, 2016
Tap at the awesome Mikkeller popup in Tokyo. Cola pour with a decent beige head. Funky, chocolatey, earthy and grassy aromas. Taste is chocolate, a little coffee, malty and some dried fruit with a bit of yeastiness. Liked it a lot

Bottle from Davido. Spicy, chocolaty nose, orange, licorice, herbs, raisins. Black with a lovely hgh rocky saison head. Flavor is chocolate and minerals, dry. Grapefruit, raisin, orange, licorice, and a touch of coffee. Bitter, tingly, peppery finish. Usually don’t like the style much, bt vry well done. Carbonation is just about Perfect. shoulderbroken (4256) - Tokyo, JAPAN - MAY 11, 2016
First time at Beach Muffin. Lovely! Second time at Mikkeller, felt a little too cold. Rating from the first time. Lovely stuff, cola, fruity, nice maltiness, chocolate, light carbonation, light maltiness, cookie dough. Little spice. Great stuff.

Lots of aniseed, chocolate and dark fruit. Nice dry palate, with lots of funk and anise, a touch sour. Spicy aniseed. A bit unbalanced. Not my favorite style (actually I don’t really like dark saison a that much), willisread (3803) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 24, 2016
Tap at Beach Muffin. Beautiful chocolate colored brown with a finger of beige foam that lingers throughout. Big grassy, hash-forward nose that just gets more and more dank as it warms. Espresso notes alongside a light yeast character in the background. Cookie malts with a tad of honey as it warms. Some chocolate chip cookie dough sweetness and brownie fudge after about 20 minutes. Nice dry cacao finish with more weed. Very solid and unique take on a dark saison.
