Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is nutty, chocolate, nice roast. Taste is hazelnuts, chocolate. Silky mouthfeel with natural carbonation and a huge nutty aftertaste. Very good! TrappistTamer11 (12) - - APR 20, 2018

Got a can of this at Knightly Spirits in Orlando.....14.9 oz/440 ml. Had the nitro widget, which I find widget beers to be pretty low in carbonation. Said on the bottle to drink cool, but not ice cold....although I usually like to drink my beers ice cold, I followed these instructions as I know they drink stouts on the warmer side. This was still cold, but gave me that "English" feel as it started to near room temperature. Has a BLACK appearance. Was pretty neat when I first poured it, as it had a thick chocolaty appearance which actually seperated in the glass for a minute or two, clearer on bottom/more syrupy on top. One of the creamiest heads that I've seen, which was a mocha-cream color. Very thick which actually stayed as a frothy lacing on the sides of the glass......reminded me of cappuccino. Flavor was nice with lots of chocolate, but might have been expecting a little bit better. Might have to try in the bottle which may have a bit more carbonation and slightly different taste............................................. 11/17/09: Bought a 4-pack of this and also shared a bottle with friend. Love this beer! The appearance really doesn't get any better, so adjusted that. Flavor growing on me every time I try another. I can't get enough of this. Good stuff! mr_h (6300) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - APR 4, 2018

500ml bottle from Morrisons, UK, part of their 4 for £6 offer. I enjoyed this, but did feel it was maybe a bit deceptive compared to the name and initial appearance. It poured really nice and dark, which together with the name got my hopes up for a deep, dark stout full to the brim with powerful chocolate. Instead, the mouth feel was a bit watery (which may be put down to the fairly light ABV) and the chocolate didn't exactly hit me over the head (more milk chocolate, than anything dark). That said though, it was largely enjoyable and I would get it again - just with slightly different expectations. JoTheO (305) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 13, 2018
Bottle 330ml. Jet black, tanned head. Chocolatey aroma, some roasted almost peaty aroma. Somewhat watery, but pleasantly bitter, taste. Enjoyable in a case where an imperial stout is too much. sharkydodson (2114) - St. Petersburg, RUSSIA - MAR 11, 2018
the aroma is caramel and chocolate with hints of vanilla, toffee, cocoa, toast and nuts... the taste is caramel and chocolate with notes of roasted malt, cocoa, toffee, toast and cake... sweet, dry and bitter aftertaste... xist_ (48) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 10, 2018
Pours a beautiful pitch black body with a nice big brownish coffee coloured head. A truly beautiful stout. Aromas of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Very strong aromas, almost like an imperial stout. Taste is far more mild though, but still excellent. Flavours of dark chocolate are most forward, but with hints of coffee as well. The mouthfeel is slick and incredibly smooth; it goes down very easy. Finish is dry and sweet, maybe a hint of bitterness there but I would categorize this as a sweeter beer. Overall this beer is excellent, I can imagine this being a very good beer to get into stouts with. It's mild in the flavours, but what's there is excellent and I will definitely be having this again.
